Biography

Traelle Gailey

2nd Grade

Hi! My name is Traelle Gailey and I am very excited to be joining the staff at Scholar Academy! I have been teaching since 2005 and during that time I have taught second grade, and fifth grade. I have taught at a charter school my whole teaching career and truly believe in the missions of charter schools.

I grew up in Reno, Nevada and moved to Utah in 1997. I graduated from Bonneville High in 1999, and subsequently graduated from Weber State University in 2005 with a Bachelors. I then received a Master’s in Education from the University of Phoenix, as well as an administrative and principal licensure. I have been actively engaged in learning as much as I can in the education realm. I have attended numerous trainings; such as; Singapore Math, Core Academy, Step up to Writing, and My Math to name a few.

Some of my hobbies include; cooking, gardening, reading, camping, and hiking. I also love spending time with my family, both immediate and extended.

I love teaching! It is a passion of mine and I don’t believe there is any other job I would love more than being in a school, and making a difference. I am excited to meet the parents and students of Scholar Academy and look forward to an amazing year!
