Hi my name is Mrs. Brady and I am really looking forward to working with the Scholar Team this year helping struggling students succeed. I am the mother of five wonderful and grown-up children, four daughters and one son, and the grandmother to two incredibly delightful grandsons. I began my love of Special Education as a volunteer in 1997 and became a Para-educator in 1999. I began teaching K-6 Resource in 2004 on a Letter of Authorization in Alpine School District and completed a dual Special Education/ESL licensure program at BYU in 2006. In 2010 I received a Utah Elementary Math Endorsement, also from BYU. I have spent the past four years teaching kindergarten through fourth grade resource students at Hillside Elementary in West Valley. I am so excited to watch Scholar Academy being built from my bedroom window and am thrilled to be able to meet and work with the students, parents, and teachers at Scholar Academy!

Bryson Young
Behavior Specialist

Good Afternoon! My name is Bryson Young. I am new to Scholar Academy and will be in the Special Education Department. I have spent time working as a Behaviour Specialist in Idaho Falls and an Inclusion Specialist in West Valley. I have also spent time as an afterschool program coordinator in Cedar City and as a volunteer sports coach in South Salt Lake. I have spent most of my life around children and I love working with them.
While I do believe children (and adults) need to move often to stimulate learning, using the environment to learn is also critical. There is something to learn wherever you go, not just in the classroom.
I have 4 kids and a wonderful wife. I have lived in Japan and India. I enjoy anything Asian, especially eating octopus and squid. I have started learning about archery and playing the violin. I am not good at either but look forward to practicing to become better. I also enjoy cooking and grilling.

Greetings! My name is Amy Gray and very pleased to be part of the Scholar Academy team. I began teaching in Utah in 2007, Grades 6-9, homeroom and Social Studies for the upper grades. I then pursued my passion for teaching and travel by becoming an English Teacher overseas. I first taught 8th Grade boys, then moved to 4th Grade and absolutely loved being in an Elementary setting. This experience fostered a great amount of reflection and finding new and creative ways to teach and learn. Since returning in October 2015, I joined Scholar Academy as a Substitute Teacher, then SPED Paraprofessional, and now a SPED Teacher. I am currently attending WGU to earn a Masters of Science in Special Education. I adore learning and view challenges as a means to grow.
