Hi! My name is Cindy Andrews and I am the Art Specialist at Scholar Academy. I was born in Utah but moved to California for a few years and then to Idaho where I graduated from Meridian High School. Following high school, I attended Boise State University until my husband’s discharge from the Air Force and we moved to Ogden, UT. There I transferred to Weber State University and earned my Bachelor's Degree in Art with a minor in History.
I am married to Robert Andrews and we are the parents of nine children and grandparents of 10 grandchildren. After our graduation from college, we moved to Denver, Colorado for 12 years. We were delighted when an opportunity to return to Utah presented itself and we have been able to make Tooele our home for 12 years now.
When I'm not teaching Art at Scholar Academy I can be found working for a local mortgage company as a loan officer and in my spare time I love doing things with my family, like playing board games, building jigsaw puzzles, camping or watching some of the worst movies ever produced while eating lots and lots of pizza. I also enjoy painting, drawing, photography, and needlework.
I love working with children and art is my passion. I am excited to be able to introduce young minds to the beautiful and wonderful world of art. I believe that guiding them in an appreciation for art in all its forms will help expand their imaginations and critical thinking skills and that this will enhance their overall learning experience.

Hi! My name is Mandy Bush and I am so excited to be the librarian here at Scholar Academy! I was born in Utah but moved away when I was six. My family and I moved around quite a bit and I have lived in Utah, Nevada, Mississippi, Florida, Alabama, Wisconsin, Colorado, and Idaho. Whenever we moved, one of the first things my mom did was take us to the local library and get us a library card. I have always loved libraries and books. They are my happy place. I consider myself a voracious reader and reading is generally my go to activity. I never leave home without a book (or two or three).
I received my associates degree from Ricks College (before it was BYU-Idaho) majoring in Animal Science. While attending college, I met my husband Jake and we have been married for 18 years. We have two adopted sons, both of whom attend Scholar Academy. I have a big love for open adoption. I love to talk adoption and share their unique stories. We have lived in Tooele for the past 6 years after moving here from Idaho Falls, Idaho. While living there, I worked as a librarian tech for the City of Idaho Falls Public Library. I have always thought that being a librarian would be the perfect job, and I was right!
I really look forward to getting to know and work with all the students here. I hope to help the children build their own love of books and reading. I like the saying, “reading is for awesome people” and these are some awesome kids!
